The only negative that I agree is the front doesn't much protection IF a head on, the rest it does the job !
Low maintenance, reliability and bonus if it matters retains good value when wishing to sell or trade up.
I wouldn't go the Transit Blue.
I was answering your comment to Bluestuff, that you wouldn't go the Transit, but then touted how good the HiAce was

Its a no brainer being a smart business man Slow.
A work commercial vehicle is just that, to do the job day in day out, no matter if its a prick to drive (I don't think so neither does the thousands who keep buying them) it does the job - low running costs - good business decision full stop.

a smart business decision is giving your employees a safe comfortable work place
If my guys work 8 hours and have a 2 hour drive home, I would rather put them in a safer more comfortable vehicle to do that
The welfare of my staff is my no.1 prioroity, not saving a few dollars, actually in fact I think the hi ace is as dear as the transit, so its a no brainer

Actually just checked, the HiAce is dearer, holy cow, Transit kills it
Chineses vehicles still worry me, safety and quality, so LDV not quite for me

    LOL....yer ok.
I suppose over the last 30odd yrs business owners have been wrong towards their employees.
Fatigue accidents have been reported for yonks, I'll have to google this up.
The $$$'s are not the principle but that maintenance IS a saving as mentioned.
I'm done, you have a chip on your shoulder over the japs/Toy so you'll keep coming back with some other argument/insult toward the brand I won't bother.

I have no chip on my shoulder about the Toy company
But the HiAce is a 30 year design, with very minor updates
Unless you have driven the new version vans, you can accept the Hi ace
but Vans like the Transits, Hyundais and even the LDV are generations ahead

Its like driving a EA falcon compared to a FGX

    I've driven iloads,Sprinters.
    Don't matter.
From the countless couriers etc doing drops at our business they still are happy with their Hiace's, I could tell them this and that is better, it don't matter to them.

    Sorry Maurice,

Hiaces are absolute JUNK compared to the Ford.

Its just the little things that make the Transit so much nicer, like integrated roof racks, extra storage and comfort just to name a few.

The only thing that has let the Transit down is the lack of supply at times.

In all honest Id probably buy the LDV over the Toyota.

From the couriers that come into work, most of them that drive new vans are hiace's and it's got nothing to do with which ones a better van.
It's which one they can get the best deal on with the fleet pricing through their company. That and the fact that hiace's has a far better resale than practically any other van it makes them a no brainer.

In reality, they're all exorbitantly over priced nuggets.

Dash, just as for Slow, no worries to me but just as defective covers above, they, the punter/owner business carrier don't care - doubt they are junk to them but useful tools of the trade nothing more nothing less - thats what you guys don't get.
The transit could be gold it don't matter.
