With respect to you this is the crux of your issues.

There is nothing to accept what so ever.

Forget what we say, Ford have said it.

It's beyond doubt, it's simply not possible for a 270 XR6T or F6 under identical conditions to be faster than a Sprint 6 in first gear, or any gear for that matter.

That is the entire basis for the debate and resistance you're combating.

4.5 is faster than 4.9 which is faster than 5.1.

    Sprint 6 > F6 > XR6T.

On the Sprint, I'm sure it can do better than what we've seen and regarding first gear performance where the XR6 T and (I think also F6's) can be very strong in very high grip situations, that doesn't often happen in the real world.

I'm confident that a Sprint would more often than not be faster in 1st than the old cars and of course the Sprints are faster after 1st gear.

But for a moment, lets just accept that the old cars may be potentially a bit stronger in 1st gear only under rare circumstances, which is the better car by far?

It certainly isn't the old cars, it's the Sprints.

Remember this started from something I said on another Forum.

Also if what I've said has no credibility at all, it shouldn't bother you I think, just ignore me and get back to talking about Sprints I suggest.
The car I traded on my Sprint was a FG2 XR6T, I did 85,000km in it so I have a pretty good idea as to how well it went. I have done 11,000km in my Sprint including several thousand km at 130-230km/h so I have a pretty good idea how well it goes.

There is no way any XR6T of any model ever would come even remotely close to a Sprint in any form of competition in any gear on any track.

I am not bothered at all about your comments; if you have ended with a car which has more than normal power, I am very happy for you!

In fact, I am not bothered about 10th's of seconds or a few Kw's here or there.
When I bought my Sprint I thought wow, Ive always admired the XR6 Turbos and F6s and now I ve got something along those lines, not geeze I'm good I ve got a few more Kws than an F6.

It seems to be non Sprint owners which are trying to shoot Sprints down, not Sprint owners worried about their cars. Can't say I've heard a Sprint owner state that GTs or F6's are crap.

What makes me laugh, however, is some comments floating around forums which just simply try and shoot down the Sprints simply because the person making the comment doesn't want to hear about anything that could possibly be some sort of improvement over his car. I also find it odd how much time non Sprint owners seem to spend on Sprint threads.

And I am sure in time Ford will sell some sort of Mondeo with a 400kw twin turbo six and 4wd which would eat any Falcon. Can't say I'm losing any sleep over it. I would be disappointed if the next performance Ford sedan is not an improvement over the Sprints.

In time people will laugh at my Sprint only putting out 370KW, when their self-driving electric bubble has 500kw. And I won't care!

Actually, I've got answer to why some cars have more power than they should; apparently some guy on the production line would always order hot chips for lunch and the guy further down the line would think he said "cop chip", and install a police spec ECU......

Yes its quite amusing the way some people have reacted to Sprints.

On another forum the member with the highest number of posts in a thread specifically about Sprint neither has a Sprint, likes Sprint or will ever own a Sprint..

Yet feels compelled to bag the Sprints at every opportunity compared to his bazzillion KW highly modified BA XR6T....

It always amazes me how finely segmented enthusiasts are; think you are part of the Ford Falcon gang? NO, is it a V8 or Turbo six? Do you have an FPV or a Ford version?
Is it BA to BF or FG to FGX? Okay, now if you have a BA to BF lets split that group down into groups.... FG or FGX ? Well for the FGX we all know that is ugly so that can't be any good! You own an FPV? okay, is it one that was built by FPV or one built by Ford when they bought out Prodrive? An FPV is not an FPV unless it was built by FPV right? NO the Ford built ones are special because..... Hang on I own a 70s one because all new cars are crap..........

What was said about the Sprint being faster than the F6 certainly made it clear in my mind that it's nearly always going to be faster, including 1st gear and that doesn't surprise me. I certainly wouldn't argue about that.
But what's been said doesn't rule out the 1st gear situations with very high stall and grip that I'm talking about, and that could include a loaded car. As well I'm not sure that what I suggested is right, but until I see further evidence it remains a possibility. Also if I see a Sprint go under 2.20 seconds to 60 km/h (without 1 foot rollout enabled) I'll start to think I might be wrong (I can give you a screenshot of my downloaded GPS 2.20 sec to 60 km/h and 4.53 to 100 data as it appears with the Racelogic software, but I've already mentioned where a 2.26 sec time to 60 km/h screenshot can be seen on the other forum).

Incidentally regarding the 5.1 time for the 270 kW Falcon, Drive.com.au got a 4.9 although I can't be sure about the rollout.

But what's relevant here is that you're comparing your 4.5 time (ie. 4.46 - 4.54, done under extremely good conditions, with as I understand it, no apparent slip), to other times without taking into account what those launches were like and that's hardly a fair comparison.

But comparing like with like, ie. excellent launches, I've got a 4.53 second to 100 time that is every bit as legitimate as your 4.5 time, but I wouldn't compare it with the F6 zero to 100 km/h times unless I saw what the F6's low speed launches were like and that they were able to get excellent launches, it's not a fair comparison

Have you been able to find out if it's not true that the Sprint's 1st gear is actually limited to 550 Nm as I read in the media, and if so has Ford told you what the 1st gear maximum torque figure actually is? As I understand it from the tuner that discovered the F6's and 270 kW overboost tables, they can get up to their full 1.19 overboost in 1st gear. Whatever it is though for the Turbo's and F6's, my GPS data shows it's sure got a lot of torque in 1st.

Your very wrong Norm re TSeries battles, hide because no chromey can light a candle next to one on track or road - the above shows how much worse it has all become, mini groups over plastic comestic differences, hundreths to 100 etc....
TSeries owners had to stand their ground back then because of just as above, gained thick skin because of the un warrented crap especially that the last great one didn't get those 2 over cooked letters, seems Sprint is going to live in the same BS because it didn't partly have 3 letters now lol.....and then the chrome mob think a relic is the best - pigs can fly as well.
I'm loling watching it all - how childish enthusiasts really are and forums to a degree is the platform/play ground for it all
