Been 3 years since I bought this ute and this time was always coming (bought new ex showroom in late 2013), but i can say without a shadow of a doubt I'll shed more than a tear when this ute goes. I cannot afford to keep two 'good' cars, and i need something more flexible for the family. It's been everything i wanted it to be, an absolute pleasure. It's NOT so many things others complain of. It's solid, not a rattle or squeak (except the spare chain throws, out the odd jingle). The engine purrs and the SC, I doubt if it's even fully run in. Two warranty claims one $15 PCV valve (though when that happened i thought the world was ending) and a hinge on the tailgate.
No bingles outside the tailgate got 'touched' by a reversing old lady. New taillight, 2mm mark on the tailgate. Fix wasn't good, replaced the tailgate with genuine, good as new.
I can say without a word of a lie I'm the seller many hope for and don't find. I bought this with a vision of making a Pursuit that didn't exist, in the way of the old Pursuits. I'd have bought one if there had been one. The car has NEVER seen WOT, it's been babied all it's low 47000kms. It's been my commuter and thats where it ends. 90/100/110km/h roads 90% of it's kms on cruise. Average consumption measured at the pump 10.5l/100, if thats not a guide to my driving nothing is![]()
Anyway, on to the ad. Apologies for the diatribe.
2012 FPV GS FG MKII Utility Silhouette 47000kms - SA (Beverley/Gawler)
Privately owned mature owner stunning black 5.0 supercharged GS ute, excellent condition absolutely spoiled this thing. Late FPV build before they closed and moved production to Broadmeadows (FPV engine number). Low 47000kms. Babied, seriously. And not a dent, or ding or scratch. Washed WEEKLY for three years (very few weekends missed due weather or travel). Spray waxed weekly, full polish (non abrasive) and wax 1-2 monthly. NO ENGINE MODIFICATIONS, never tuned. Factory optioned with dual-zone and leather, 1 piece hard lid (roll bar removed) and spoiler (three post spoiler, two post genuine also supplied).
Changes:
- Stripes removed
- Front 4 spot factory Brembos including rotors
- Lowered LEGALLY on H&R/King springs with Bilsteins all round
- KPM 3.5" stainless dual exhaust
- Genuine 8" 9" FPV GT wheel set in silhouette finish with Michelin Pilot Super Sports <5000kms
- Also supplied 8.5" front 10" rear Vertini Drift in Gold with Bridgestone RE050 front (<10000kms) and Kumho rear (around 2mm over legal). She looks BRILLIANT on these as most know on here but I prefer the factory look
- All GENUINE FPV front with grey 'raccoons' and chrome F6 spots, and genuine headights looks fantastic. Inc genuine F6 skirts.
- Herrod catch can and BMC filter
- Retrimmed leather wheel 'fattened' with dakota leather and genuine alcantara (not the cheaper materials Ford used)
- Retrimmed seats using genuine GT-P foams and dakota leather and genuine alcantara
- 'Pure' DAB tuner
- No front speakers currently fitted as I had a aftermarket audio system in it. The doors are deadened. The rear wall of the cabin is deadened and silenced. Much of the wiring has been left in the car to fit your own gear
NOTHING to spend on this ute. Two months warranty remaining.
A lot of time and energy invested in this ute but time for me at 50 to go back to a passenger car. I'd love to afford to keep this but cannot.
There is a lease payout and that's covered in the price. Funds exchange will take place at a bank with deposit straight to the lease co to clear it with a call to the lease co to confirm clearance. Or whatever way works for a 'known' user on here that i can trust.
FIRST TO SEE WILL BUY. I know thats a old cliche, but i've NEVER had a first viewer look at a car I've owned and not buy it. I'm passionate about my cars.
PM me if interested. Full disclosure above, I don't BS anyone, and i believe i have a price sweet spot to get this done quickly and painlessly. I'm not making a cent out of this sale. No smoke and mirrors.
MORE PICS will be added, with this weather it's hard to keep her perfect.
Pics have both iterations of wheels, current condition is the GT wheels and two post as the three post spoiler had a minor mark under one post and i had it repainted. That two post flexes too much at speed. I absolutely love it this way and i'm more of a OE guy while the gold looks amazing (there are 25mm spacers on the rears with the GT wheels just enough to get rid of that 'inside' wheel thing). I apologise as the car has dust on it in a couple of pics, unintentional but filling gaps until i can add new ones (though they are all recent except with the Vertini equipped pics).
ANY INSPECTION WELCOME. Happy to assist interstate buyers (except in the monetary sense)
CAR SOLD WITH STANDARD SA PLATES NOT THE GRAND PRIX PLATES PICTURED
