I've been to the proving ground and have seen what the cars go through, so how does something like this slip through?
Maybe its one of those things they decided was cheaper to fix on a case by case basis as they arose, rather than try to engineer a fix.
Anyways, my car has 150k on it and now needs its 3rd set. I know I'm not alone in this regard. I would hazard a guess that many late model falcon owners are driving around with the bushes in a similar condition, but unaware, as the symptoms aren't really that intrusive or obvious. Just a ever so slight knock on take off. Mine were brought to my attention at the 135k service that they would need some attention in the future. Its now booked for its 150k on monday so i'm expecting a worried looking service department DP to tell me how urgently he needs to relieve me of lots of my hard earned.
Is there an alternative solution to the factory rubber, that offers the same level of NVH but with increased durability? If so, what sort of cost would i be looking at?
