Personally I won't be abusing my precious Sprinty with full power starts until at least 2,000ks - after the motor and all other parts have had a good chance to get to know each other and are friends. It is obvious to me she is female due to the outlandish split personality so I'll give her some respect a bit longer :-) Anyway, did we ever discern for certain when the overboost is allowed to operate in terms of K's done? Is it after 1,500k's or higher? Does it get set at the first service to 'on' through a software switch or does it do it automatically after some kilometres? Sorry if we've covered this before but I can't recall a resolution to this. Anyone know for sure?

agree Falco on treating them with respect.
I'm all for it as well, mine has just ticked over 1500k's, being mine is a he I think a little more on pedal won't come back and bite me as the better half would, I'm pressing him just on 4500 between 1st 2nd 3rd when allows just so he knows/computer who's boss and be ready come 2000k's up![]()
My understanding the brain box self adjusts as k's hit certain marks.
Where's those pics sir ? she still looking over you![]()

Silly question to ask, what is the chime alarm that comes on when you do hard first gear acceleration runs in the XR8 Sprint? Is it the rev limiter warning? I honestly have no idea why it makes the noise and as things are happening pretty fast in first gear, I am more interested in changing gear than to look for the reason of the alarm! Any ideas?

FTe - sorry, I'm embarrassed I'm so overdue getting some 'good' shots of her with wheels and tint now installed. Will have to pull the finger out and get it done. I do, however, have a tasty video of all the cars on the special facebook group Sprint Day Drive we Sydneysiders enjoyed 2 weeks ago. Had a great picnic, lots of photos and some good vids. I took a vid on my phone and I was really surprised it came out very clearly and smoothish. I got all the cars that were there. I'm going to post it on the Facebook pages that Jeff's organized. Once it is on there it may make its way across here too - I'll check with Jeff on that first as it is one of those 'closed' groups. I've no doubt you could join if you wanted to join. Snaps of mine for you soon!
