Dont know about the "how to" side of things but there's no way I'd do it, anything other than white at the front and red at the back and you're going to get looked at.

Presuming their just normal LEDs in there then you would most probably be able to get multi colour LEDs to the same spec.
Would probably wanna find a second hand set to play with.
Would make for some good shots having them red.
The plan was to grab a second hand light and play with it. I reckon that it would look awesome, especially with the Vader theme. The only huge concern I have that it would not be legal. Having red LED's on the front a vehicle would not do well with the boys in blue.

Bahahaha. If I ever get to Altezzas you have full permission to contact Elks, get my loan torn up, and get the repo men in to save Vader. Nothing wrong with looking outside the square for ideas. Keep in mind that the headlamps have controllers inside them and it just has a signal from the bcm.
So there would be a bit of work trying to get them to go red and then go white so you dont get any problems from the police.
Reds a problem. From a legal standpoint. Red lights need to be rear facing. So it's recognised at the rear.
From a perspective of truck running lights.
Forwards facing lights are white or Amber. Side lights are amber. And whilst the ADR says they simply can't be red. If try getting up the gig heat with a green or purple light ( let alone red) you will get booked and defected.
That said a friend has been running red glowing head lamps in his ute for years. Without a drama.

So maybe your red 'eyes' can come from the lamps not the DRLs and you need to find a way to switch them on off as required.
I looked at switching my parking lamps on the Pursuit to blue but was talked out of it by the shop selling the blue lamps because I will get defected.
