Norm, its all ones choice.
Saying this goes with that is easy but when coming to the crunch one day it may not go that way.
I don't know how other dealers are handling their stock nowadays but mine for eg hardly carries stock nowadays due to their restructure of their entire business and refit.
They are relying on Ford Sydney warehouse for daily deliveries AND then in most case's order from Melb.
Stock as we once knew was on hand at dealers is not today - inventory costs.
So its makes it even harder now.
Dash, you have the right thoughts - I will be doing the same over this year regards to specific Sprint items.

This is a perfect example of why this forum is worth platinum bars to punters like me! Given that you have 'inside' contacts 4V, has this subject ever arisen between you? If not, would it be possible to put your feelers out to ascertain where we might stand with all this. As I said, I get nightmares thinking about transforming my humble garage into a Sprint Spares Inventory Shack HOWEVER, if there is a REAL chance (according to you/your sources) of running out of certain parts early I am open to getting my hands on said parts and storing them. I'm needing guidance here but I'd hate to think I'm wasting money and space (I have limited bits of both!) but if need be I would stock a few crucial parts if I got the nod it would be providential.

Not a chance I don't think. That goose has gone and tbh the demand isn't there for non Sprint owners like the FPV gear... Not at this stage anyway. Most of the gear is going to Sprint owners.. My dealer has had alot of enquiry for spare parts like me!

FG FPV parts are easier to get thanks to all the cars getting wrecked all the time and the gross volume of FG FPV's that pretty much carried the same parts all the way through.

. . . and how would you feel about that, having to give up Sprint because they couldn't source a certain crucial component for you? Wouldn't it simply be cutting off your nose to spite your face? What good is $70K if you must lose Sprint for it? I'm sure you'd rather have your car frankly, wouldn't you, with all its parts intact.
