    Now it all makes sense.

I suspected this was going to happen, bulk order MY17's to get them through the 9 months till MY18 gets here in Sept..

Dealers already have significant stock of MY17's now.

The issue will be though how many people will take a MY17 over waiting for MY18?

I'm in that position now. Buy the last of MY17 stock or wait until third quarter for MY18.

I think you'll find come early 2018 you'll be in a stronger bargaining position as Ford look to move stock.

That said i think MY18 is worth waiting for unless you're wanting to buy now while MY17 is current for another 14 months.

ofcourse you'd be in a stronger bargaining position BUT do you jump in the 1st model and accept as it is but you always have that little inkling in your head wish I had those upgrades of the next model. Also MY17 no matter the good bargain minus the dump factor that will come.
Col, you've got the XR6T, the WASP for fun and filling in the time - wait for MY18 imo.

Id wait for MY18 too, its got a heap of worth while changes and the new shape should be current for 2-3 years.

    Thanks guys, appreciate the feedback.
I don't have to make the decision just yet but towards the end of 2017 when I'm ready to update. It would have to be a pretty special deal or special 2017 Mustang to stop me from waiting. I also have a few other options (not Mustang) I can consider also if I want to get into something sooner.

Yep, and that's how i would play it, either wait for MY18 or bargain for a heavily discounted MY17.

Staying with the sports coupe theme I may look at a 997 Porsche 911 as I have always had a soft spot for them. Staying with the Euro theme an AMG C63 Coupe (last of the 6.2's) or newer/new CLA45. On the Ford side I like the idea of an RS or an Everest if they update the drive train.

The problem with all these (apart from the Ford's) is I need the car to be an every day run about. That doesn't mean it cant be something 'special' or exciting to drive, but it needs to be practical, hassle free and easy to get in and out of car parks etc. That's where the Mustang really fits the bill well.

    Mmmmmm, I like, nice options.
I was talking to my physio whom I know well and a porsche enthusiast/owner - he was commenting on the good deals on 996 turbos due to the unfavoured front eyes compared to the 997 - 996 still a top vehicle just not the flavour - had me thinking lol...instead of pony.
I'm a porsche admirer from way back.
C63's, you know I love em, anyday over a CLA for me, like the 997 front there is something about the rear of the 45's that has me, yes or no.
I'm commenting on the Euro's for as much as the RS would be an awesum ride, as a daily ? I'm guessing its ride won't be anywhere near as smooth as the Euro's.
The Everest, yer well I'm no big fan or the rear but as for practicability goes, daily, family duties probably the best for those not with a sports orientated mind set that you need "that" feeling between office and back duties.
Yep, the Pony fits the bill overall quite easily just MY18 not here soon enough for you.
