typical gutsy qld effort.

what a legend JT is. played virtually the whole game with one arm. slater showed why the decision to leave him out of game 1 was such a bizarre move.

with game 3 back at suncorp, and likely JT's last origin, its hard to go past them for the series win now, but that NSW side still look a lot quicker and bigger... they just lost their way in the last 20min.

Its like its scripted always for the 3rd decider, kinda weird.
A common theme is team sport - a game of 2 halves.
Even though I'm no massive follower of the game when living north of mexico you obviously grow up with this game.
It is a showcase that none of the other games here have to compare, we know many of them down south and across can't help but watch it for it is good viewing if your into sport.
nsw really countered that 1st half, despite qld's early try they responded very well, split them open very well for their tries and the forwards were making ground easier than expected.
This, didn't carry on 2nd half, looked like they went into protection mode defending the lead.
Hardly works in any game I watch over the years, especially allowing qld have that much possession, sooner or later something got to give.
The typical cliche - gonna be a huge 3rd game as they say.
Again good viewing on the box on a week night compared to the crap that most would watch.

Here we are - this evenings decider coming up.
Lots of typical BS in the press in nsw - interestingly much comment that Origin is too sanitised compared to the good ol days.
Players are muzzled not to say much in the press so as to avoid anything that can be used as extra motivation by either opponent etcetc.....
The biff has gone, replaced by more robust tackling.
Players offside way too otften, can't play the ball correctly anymore < this actually has got pretty bad, just rolling out from their arm hardly any rack back by the foot.
Refs are useless today on making decisions without the bunka.
yeryeryer - carry on, for me the press in part ruin the game more than anything with their in accurate headline beat ups and so much more.
The modern game has its issues but a casual like me and I'm sure many others it is good viewing still.
Only game i care to watch here outside of my preferred real football.

i don't share your confidence. i'll be stoked if we get up, and i'm glad its at suncorp as that will help (although it didn't a month ago), but i reckon NSW have the edge.

Only a game Daz but can understand it does give you that edgy feeling watching these games but you guys have had the runs on the board for a long time so relax.
haha Rob, you guys will be alright, home game and all, I reckon you've got it, we can't seem to lift it when it counts for the final kill and to date the record confirms it.
