History is a statement, the future is a question.
The problem you have is eyesight and a lack there of.
The moment you said you liked that wrapped HSV at Bathurst, credibility on taste, goneeeeeeeeeee
History is a statement, the future is a question.
Hey, that HSV was no celebration done up model - of any olden Bathurst livery etc from memory, gold and carbon highlights co ordinated but in any case has no case regards this one.
Your accepting anything is better than none on the thread subject whereas I'm on the leave it alone for nothing under the circumstances today can do the milestone justice.
Now thats style mate, so f off but we know you want the last word biatch.

I realise this reply makes sense to you.
In your head, those little voices.
Wait till you see it at Bathurst. You will eat your words.
History is a statement, the future is a question.
Look, mustang shape looks great in the first place so ofcourse it will look good but this is not relevant to our history full stop, its a token take on our Falcon milestone.
To some I suppose copying is flattering. I see it as a hopeful money spinner no matter hiding behind in the sense of novelty and all.
You make far more sense with less words not just to me I'm sure![]()

It's a Ford milestone Maurie.
None of these cars means anything with out company behind it.
You can bang on all you like about individual brands and not staying true to them, but if you adhere to it strictly, you are dead.
Car models are just vessels in time. They come and go. Admittedly the longevity of some play a greater part in sentimentally but we don't progress by saying, Falcons dead everything related to it dies.
That's absolute nonsense.
It was a Ford 1,2. If you go back, if you think real hard, very rarely was it referred to as a hardtop 1,2, or a Falcon 1,2.
The biggest impact comes from leveraging what matters and that is the greatest car company of our generation.
We are passionate about Ford. When Ford reads you words they smile because this is the legacy they don't see and that equates to not trying.
They insist racing was all about Falcon. You are proving them right.
History is a statement, the future is a question.
and the greatest company (?????) of our gen is not behind it......
Some things are better off left dead, yep life goes on.

You are a funny guy at times.
You sprint doesn't have a T3 kit and you bitched about that and wanted it back despite that being in the past and being left dead or as you put it, life goes on.
You might not be aware of this but in the last two weeks the livery of the 77 cars were voted the most iconic in our history.
The problem I have with you and its one I have always had with you is you are too selective with your thought process and logical conclusions and in doing so personify the toughness of the ford consumer market in this country.
On the Holden side, there isn't the level of pedantic needing to dot I and cross T.
Your old mate Spiro summed up the ford consumer beautifully. Cannibals.
This as its always been is about selling cars. You want to be politically correct with someone personal choice to change the appearance of their own car, well the same needs to stand for people creating opportunities to sell cars.
the equation here is simple.
Does this avenue present an option to give an aftermarket kit identity that has currency? I splitting straws on Mustang v Falcon first understand Falcon comes from mustang. This is the circle joining back up.
Does this represent an identity that's understood or does it need to be explained? Too many of our factory efforts have required explanation while filling up at the service station.
Who do it hurt? If white is the colour that is sold the least, with an oversupply of mustang’s country wide, wont this help shift some of those cars?
Everything we do should be about selling cars. Everything Tickford does should be aiming to give people options and inspiring them to buy Ford cars.
So far this is a defining difference with other options out there.
If I had to guess which option will stand the test of time and stand a chance to recoup some of the aftermarket sinkhole of funds, an identity car will stand up better than a car I build to suit my tastes.
As a race team entering the road market, as any race team in the same situation would do, they will focus on race related content. If ford consumers are going to be so pedantic that everything that occurred during a falcon era is off the table, racing needs to be banned in this country.
That is the single stupidest mindset of a destructive nature I have witnessed. You have reduced the window of relevance to a point racing is unworkable as a brand exercise because you are seeing a specific product whereas worth needs to be measured in the totality of the brand no matter what form its being presented.
In this case
White
Coupe
V8
RWD
Ford
GT
outnumber the one negative
Falcon.
Add to this the involvement of Allan Moffat who made his name in the Mustang.
So much of this does dot Is and cross Ts but as has been our tradition it all comes does to which eye you want to see through
History is a statement, the future is a question.
Mmmmm, you have been rolling in your head for 11days preparing the above I guess....maybe 11mins or 11secs, no matter no big deal.
You and I will mostly differ on things - nothing wrong with that, this is good its healthy, does it mean your side of the topic is the correct line of thought ? no it doesn't.
It just gives another POV and I have mine.
Yes I had my bitch over the clean skin Sprint (would I be alone back then ?no) and yes life went on.
I sure didn't want the Sprint to have a similar T3 kit as quoted but a up dated FPV one on if it ever was in the skunk room and possible would have been nice (maybe depending on the design) but it is what it is. I've accepted it, I can change my mind just as anyone within reason and I can be selective/logical - I'm sure I am NOT alone.
My ol mate Spiro actually has quoted to me long ago the Ford Enthusiast is a "tight arse" (with the exceptions such as the Colvilles/GTPmans and some others) and I agree with him regards that description, cannibals ? don't make sense that one.
Your right, that all its about, selling. Nothing more nothing less.
You can picture it anyway you like, its crossed Your i's and t's, my eye and logic doesn't see it that way.
The american linage has been mentioned over the years, the first model or 3 Falcon very much had the linage, in time progressed to our styles and in some case's is purely based from ideas done in the US market (cobra/boss stripes for eg) and in turn is Australianised to suit out market.
Oh the wonders of marketing spin.
Take a Falcon back over there with a Richard Petty STP livery and sell it to them, I know what the majority of Enthusiasts would do, don't turn this around on me pal, wasting your spin.
This whole scenario is an indictment of Fords handling of this market for an eternity.
They limit themselves in so many areas in turn consumers suffer - wonders knows why but the fact once losing majority market share why would any parent wish to keep feeding a downward spiral orphan..
So due to nothing done whilst Falcon was being made time pass's and its left to a Aftermarket company standing up for the parent/brand owner re a tribute but in the name of sales.
If you think having to offer race tributes are the go in this case for upping sales thats a very short bridge my friend and very short shortsightedness as a business case.
What PRA/Tickford should cater for re Mustang is tasteful upgrades not OTT in price nor OTT visually so as new interested consumers in the higher %'s see the value in paying More than what the Dealer offers as stock, is their a Tickford Customer Experience set up for eg ?.
This will enhance PRA/Tickford far better than ol bitters limping in on their walking sticks putting some cash down on 1/77 american tribute models and then to think what to do next ? a True Blue or Greens Tuff, ffs spare me....surely today a company can come up with a better Sales model that entices a wider range of Joe Public than just the very small Enthusiast portion.
Forgetting the ol Moffstang and before that big ol Pete winnings way in the '60-70's......Mustang today needs to wield its own Aussie myth of the modern world, gain its roots with NEW customers more than ever before (hopefully in motorsport sooner or later) not starting the hearts with our racing heritage forged by one of our own on a fully fledged Flat Rock product depicting a Falcon 1/2, the main negative.
