Just to add to the paranioa iphone X has facial recognition running constantly. Good way for "ze chermans" to work out who is in the room or where ever and who is not at home......

hehe, this is it in the big picture.
I was observing my chinese friends whilst there fapping over never needing cash now but pay everything through the mobile via bar coding etc.
Having already a commo Gov that runs their life I told them don't you realise now your Gov knows even more about you when where and everything else you dummies.

My Facebook feed is full of new iPhone news.

They look good to me. I think there is some nice upgrades to things like visuals and speakers. As my eyes and ears are failing these tend to jump off the page.

There also seems to be an increase in build materials resilience to damage which addresses another of my concerns.

My phone is 3 years old and I treat it a bit like it's just due on time. I find after 2 years it starts to become unreliable and that's cost me this time.

So take the last 26 hours. There is no ring tone. It's like the phone is in silent. Just needs a reboot but that doesn't he,p the missed calls.

I don't expect revolution. Incremental improvements are enough especially if battery life improves, so it's as simple as not going backwards spec wise.

As silly as this sounds the inclusion of a fm radio is a big deal for me. It means at sporting events I can have the one device for listening to track coverage.

It would not be a deal breaker but it's handy to have the ear piece in and you don't miss calls or messages.
A replacement phone will need this feature

I'm an apple user, my phone is a 6s, and my iPad 3 is heavily used (too much) but don't consider myself a fanboy.
When I saw the x is going to be close enough to 2k I immediate dismissed it. But since I've been seeing some of the specs I've changed my tune a bit. Still don't think il be getting one at release prices, but once the novelty wears off and the prices drop a bit then maybe.

I know many of the new features have been available on android in some form for a while but I'm not going back to that instability.

I haven't got anything yet. I didn't get to handle the Nokia 8 to see what it was like to use and feel.

I like the X as well. I think they have done alright.

Its funny because you are looking at 1200 for the 8 + and you can get an x for 1500 something. 1800 for the max ram version.


The entry X might just be worth $300 the 8.

That said 7 drops 100 and you know this time next year the X becomes a 1200 phone.

I will wait till the phones are in store and have a play.
