Then you get guys like tj hunt, one of the bigger car modding you tubers in the states I believe. He has such a loyal following now he does a daily vlog where he pretty much just dribbles shit with a little car content and usually some random cleavage shots of his missus and his subscribers lap it up.... He has his own clothing company now as well as a r35 gtr, 350z drift car, 2jz brz, a new bmw x5m and his latest project is an fd rx7. Also a reasonable size workshop all paid for by his social media interests.
Very smart very canny young man. Annoying as hell but.

I just can't spend that much of my free time on the net but I get it for some..
Having Fox I like watching Kindig Customs for eg - he does some fine stuff.
Discovery Turbo has variety.
Misfit Garage - Wheeler Dealers etcetc
Some maybe doing same same but some are not but I'm on my couch sitting back and remote to change if having enough![]()

I am not sure when I started going to YouTube for help but some time ago, Dr Google gave way to Mr tube.
I suppose there does come a time when porn just gets too repetitive after all.
Unlike defective I am definitely not up with the who's who of YouTube but instead just have a small group I monitor.
It started out music based if I am honest and then detailing.
It's like most things or it is for me, if one wishes to have an opinion, seek the biggest platform on which to base it.
So there is finding the time to watch and I guess finding the time to be a host.
Mike has become full time. He is basically just taping his life and that is about an 12 hour a day job. Only difference is he has no rules, no bosses, just telling his life story.
Typically each day the video will take about 20 minutes to watch.
It's a little addictive. I don't have fox so for me it's the last thing I do before sleep. Catch up on my subscriptions.
It's free for me, and if it's detailing I am watching, I am learning.
With mike the attraction is his honesty. With Troy it his tresentation and with Nick, it's his girlfriend.
Actually when you modify your LZ1 and the side airbags go off you sort of want to find out just how stupid these guys are.
Not many of us have lives, appearances, that would attract an audience.
If you had your own channel I would definitely subscribe because you have a life style and content people would be interested in. But there goes you privacy and that's the price these guys pay.
They become a type of famous. I can't believe they get away driving like they do on roads. Yesterday Nick tested out his new parachute on the highway. That's a 9 second car.
I think perhaps one of the attractions for me is that these guys are centering their stories on cars and builds.
What to do next. Mustang or do a build? It's crossed my mind. Maybe that's why I have started watching them.
It's interesting and they are interesting characters themselves.
You do however sense the money aspect in the presentation. They aren't doing it as a hobby as such. There is a point to it and it's financial. I had no idea just how much.
By accident I stumbled across a suggested video by a company called leapfrog studios. It was a metal cover of a Toto song.
It turns out it's essentially a one man band. He plays all the instruments, records the video, edit and produces it.
And he sells his music.
After watching the video and being impressed, it turns out he has just under 2 million subscribers and this one video is up to 4.5 million views. Two young artists make a guest appearance. Their own personal channel rose by 20k subscribers over night.
I have no real comprehension of what revenue those numbers would pull in for essentially promoting your work product to sell. It seems crazy but I think it could be a trend.
I still get complaints about the length of car reviews but people are happy to spend roughly the same time watching a podcast.
I find that interesting.
