If you drive it like a diesel it goes ok. Sounds like a truck on the outside still but very quiet inside and very smooth.

If you drive the Ranger 3.2 Diesel back to back with Territory, you really appreciate the additional refinement they have achieved with that 2.7 turbo. Performance wise I couldnt pick it. Both where a bit lazy off the mark but had penty of pull once you were going.

Being a V6 it will be generally smoother than the I5. Acoustic windscreen and other sound deadening measures (engine undertray and firewall insulation) makes it very quiet inside the car. Where the diesel Tez stumbles is the way Ford have calibrated the transmission.

The V6 Diesel is a nice piece of gear, I could only imagine a Ranger with it

Bit of weirdness tonight. Jumped in the car to go to work and all the icc and dash settings (mfd) are back to default. Using the same key.

Weird.

I also have an annoying noise (rattle/Buzz/vibration) coming from behind the glove box area once you get up above 70ish. Adjusting fan speed didn't change it. I hate noises. Very annoying. My falcon was surprisingly creak and rattle free even at 170k.

It could be a leaf or dead insect stuck in the cabin filter.

Hopefully that's all it is. Just pulled it out and there was a fair bit of debris in there. Guess I'll find out on the journey home in the morning.

Any ideas on the icc reset? Hopefully that's a one off.
