Bi-modal turbo system?

Hey guys this is my first post, Falc'man told me about this forum last week and i joined today it looks awesome. I've got a new mkii xr6 and found a a turbo exhaust system to fit. looking at the photo it looks like there's an actuator on the middle muffler I'm wondering if this is an active muffler and if it is, can it be hooked up to the vacuum on the intake manifold and make the muffler "change" note when the runner change length?

Those mkIIs are really growing on me, love the new rims too. Good pick up.

As for the exhaust, seems like a bit of stuffing round for minimal if any gain?

yeah thanks man I love it.
I just thought of it because I saw someone do the same thing on a gt exhaust and it worked with hardly any work. I'd rather just delete the muffler lol just seeing if that circle thing is an actuator cos it caught my eye lol.

There wasn't a bi modal system in the turbo, only the XR8 (fg). That does look like a sam though.

Awesome looking car by the way and they've done really well with the factory rims.

thanks heaps habib yeah i love it. those 22's ended up being holden stud pattern 120x5 i got so cut lol
