There are actually a few very low km around. I think some people bought them hoping to make a gain in the shorter term but the resale values have not exploded ..yet. For my money, if you are thinking an FG-X it would have to be a Sprint unless the XR8 is substanially cheaper. The extremely low kms are good ..unless you actually plan to drive it? in which in that case whether it as 20 kms or 10,000 its not oging to make a huge difference in the long run.

Both are cracker cars but I just recon every time you pull up next to a beautful FG GT Mk2 in all its war paint you'll be doubting yourself.. (unless you get the Sprint of course).

Its interesting what some minds think......
Were not talking about exotica here that in such low volume would demand a price hike pretty much the next week but with all due respect our vehicles are at a affordable price when new in the first place and these people think they are going to cash in so soon after finish are pretty short sighted
OK some will say their circumstances changed, well why in your right mind did you buy a storage queen in the first place ????
Obviously you stretched beyond your resource in the first place.
Its way too early to me, say another 5yrs at least and see where the market is at, but you need to be able to afford to store/keep them in the first place not take a gamble but as I said some people ??????? but for others their loss their gain.

    Gal's purchase is a weekender/cruiser Col.
At his budget I would consider the Sprints for sure But FGX XR8 sleepers are brilliant imo as well.
Interestingly having grown up when the Legend was born and to this day I haven't ever owned one as much as I loved them, for me XSeries GT's are the Kings obviously and my real desire re that era is to have a XA and more so a XB coupe due to Moff/Bondy 1-2.
Modern day RSpec speaks to me the rest yer I like but com si com sa my perspective, heck I have a non GT T3 so says it all, even a BAGT smoker but its got the best looking wing/skirt package ever done by Ford IMO.
As for the latter day FPVGT's (excl GTF) nah mate, "stock for stock" I wouldn't have any regret (and don't) a FPVGT pulling up next to me for Sprint has it covered hands down from launch and they know it - thats what counts for me than the badge/external looks hands down, go powa and handling everything else is subjective but that is me
Heck even HSV's next to me behave (excl W ofcourse haven't encountered to date) for they think twice of the plain jane clean skin Sprint FGX.
I'm sure the S6T owners feel even more confident but I cannot speak for them.

Thanks Maurie. Just some points of clarification. When I referred to one of the last 335 GT's pulling up next to Gal, I was

    a) not referring to a race or performance comparison, merely comparing the GT's 'persona' against to almost equality equipped FGX XR8
    b) excluding if he purchased a Sprint XR8, in which case this would arguely have a persona of equal, or greater significance to the GT one

I'm not against getting a FGX XR8 at all. I just wouldnt pay close to 'Sprint' money for one just to get an exceptionally low km example. I also would not get one over say a low km, pristine FG Mk2 GT/GTP example, but that's much more a subjective choice relative to what owning a Falcon GT means to you.

Just to clarify a little here gentlemen, as much as I love the FG-X Sprint's, personally I prefer the visual aesthetics of the FG-X XR8, it's like choosing a colour, some colours look shocking on certain vehicles but a different colour on that same vehicle can make it a beautiful car, for me and this is only my personal preference but sprint does not work for me as the XR8 does, (no offence to any owners) but we are all different when it comes to what we desire, take my AU XR8 for example, many people would prefer the series III body kit, where as I actually prefer the series II, the lower section on the rear bumper differences has me leaning towards the series II.

It's a close and very hard decision at the moment between a FGII GT V's FG-X XR8, I prefer the GT over the GT-P, simply because I can connect with the symbols GT more so then GT-P, and the wheels I like better on the GT, there are some other visual differences like badging/seats but like I've said before I'm a simple man and I prefer the GT.

So it's FGII GT or R spec,
    FG-X XR8.

I've never been a fan of the Black but I tell you what after seeing a few I am quickly finding myself admiring this colour more so, it was a definite White when I first started looking but that has changed somewhat now, very much.

    Understand both fellas,
and on this subject I take no offense and I hope others don't take my views wrongly as well.
Colville I got you completely, my enthusiasm and POV takes me further of the original point soz.
Yer Gal, I hear you re the FGX XR8 to Sprint, mind you I prefer the Sprint boot lid spoiler But to most know why Silhouette won me over ? more than all apart from loving black anyway is the door stripes, IF it wasn't a LE I'd have them off but the best case scenario for me was going tone on tone as they say, at least they are not that obvious, I'm not a real fan of them no matter that they represent a difference.

Good luck Gal, hard call mate, I tossed and turned 10,000 times on Sprint colour, your situation comes down to whats available and ticks the box's at the time but once done and you got it you'll be stoked once in these Miami's.
I keep saying Manual - don't listen to others and also not your logic of mind re later, its your weekender, they are piss easy to drive and you'll enjoy the engagement farfarfar more.
