EA rear calipers: brake lever handles not lined up

I have just noticed that the two brake lever handles on my EA- axled trike are not at the same angle. One points up from horizontal and the other has dropped. I rebuilt both sides and I am pretty sure I would have noticed if it was like this when I put them back on: the spring on that side is _extremely_ hard to get onto the two end points...much harder than the other side.

Do these levers gradually rotate as the pads wear? I know that the unit adjusts the pads by rotating a threaded segment inside another and that the handbrake is applied by rotating that fitting.

The side that is dropped has been binding from time to time and I am concerned that this may be happening as I travel (it actually stopped the trike while driving once, before I rebuilt them), causing severe wear on the pads on that side.

I know I can take out the pads and check, but as set up on the trike it's a bit fiddly and I figure it's worth asking.

    Thanks for any help

    Nick

I had my car held to ransom for $1700 to fix the very issue you are asking about !

I had it towed home for $80 and by using google i ended up fixing all my brakes for a 1/3 of the price

    Cheers !!

As you know googling did not solve my need for new springs. In the end you woke me up and I went local.

Why not share the _result_ of your googling that fixed this, rather than sending me _and others _ off on another time-waster?

I am not an idle asker. I asked before and in the end rebuilt both calipers. Then it started again. I have found (thanks to your NON google headsup ) that it _may_ be weakneed springs that was causing my problrm.

So saying Google sat wrong with me. If you has results with a problem that MANY EA falcon owners have had, then spread what you found. Please.
