I could say typical you know what mentality - the fact of the matter is 99% of performance buyers be it anywhere would hardly option down on rim size and more so liking the vehicle as it is.
Where can you read quotes or figures by Dealers or Manufacturers many customers opting for smaller wheels so as having higher walled tyres on their hipo Euro purchase ?

I have no worries quoting my comment without checking, for all my years in the Aftermarket and around OE's and "car" people I've never heard comments as such its not typical city mentality as you see it.
    No big deal.

edit, forgot to add, yep typical Ford stuffing up re FTE, always restricted, open more distribution its a win win agree.

You would not start a business aimed at Ford product related consumers. You would seriously run. Too many in the industry say the same thing.
Thats how it goes but should ask the question of Ford, why is it so ? how many times do they half deliver ?
Why do they ? why only x choice ? or why is it like that classic saying, you can have any colour as long as its Black.
I think Ford done this to themselves to their faithful customers, you have to accept just this because its how it is.
Then the typical marketing spin to justify it.
They have been half baked since HO, the 4door Legend, why is it still the holy grail for eg ? ever since then its been a nearly there package yet compare Holden/HSV, easy to satisfy consumers because they got the lot.
We have had to accept lack of advancements, things that are missing but everyone else has it, parts that have been reused again and again and again and suck it up.
    Know what I mean.
I don't agree were the problem but they have bred this, look at Mustang, a sales success even without the Halo's, look what they are letting occur, Aftermarket companies being their halo replacements, I admire what Tickford is doing and good on them but for me its not OE.
So if I buy end up buying a new Pony whats my choice, the GT as it is, one again back against the wall take it or leave it.

I just wish Tickford could move into the future with new model names and create their own history. Moffat and cobra tributes have been done to death, let’s all move forward and create model cars to rival the some of the best ford performance models that we can’t get here in Australia from America.

very good point futura I'm with you.
I don't like tributes much but others do I suppose, I have one exception its the Bullitt, tasteful understated go figure.

This is indeed a big part of it and while some Ford executives have left this country with tail between legs, frustrated by the difficulty of the market, the people who make these observations do so tempered with caveats such as, passionate, knowledgeable and obsessed.

Its unfortunate also punctuated with, miserable, stingy and demanding while doing so.

No way would I recommend anyone to cater to ford consumers.

    And that's me.

I dont get to be selective with these comments.

What have I said about Rapter?
What have I dont for Tickford
What have I recently done for Ford?

You cant see it but Colville and I were going back and forth on messenger with the exact same thoughts on cost.

Gee it would be nice to hit a lower price point.

But with the holy grail I have to sit back and consider that I am about to blow by 38k easily if I want to do it properly and that doesnt address the interior.

We are very very quick to pull that trigger.

We are yet to learn from mistakes of going in early.

With this car, on my facebook page it's got so screwed up the focus was reversed to make it all about racing as the primary focus.

I rightly had Tickford people asking WTF. Its spelt out in the first sentence.

New mustang, we are hours away from getting our hands on that. When it leaked the first time with the refresh, what as ford done here, balls it up again.

Not everything we initially say or think follows through to our actions.

If you really want proof of this look no further than the GTF or Sprint programs or if you go back to the FPV days.

I was fortunate enough to spend time observing at the motor shows, saw first hand what we said and did.

That in no way diminishes the concerns raised. The use if blue, carbon, leather, price. Did I miss anything?

But what we cant so do is look at elements that define a car such as this and say we would remove them or speak to redefine what it is when we have had those options and objections and didnt not follow through.

Again that finger is pointed squarely at me too.

Those black rims are still on the car.

If TVS 535R isnt a new name, I dont know what is.

    This is what I mean.

Tickford have done how many tributes?

Since coming to market how many specials have they done compared to models and names that are new.
Some of you might need to research the corporate one offs that have come out of the workshop in the same time.

They are not customer cars but concepts developed for charity or promotion. Never been done previously.
History is a statement, the future is a question.
