Damn, with the Stinger GT maybe being a one hit wonder perhaps the Mustang may come back on the radar for the wife.

Stinger GT was my biggest disappointment of last year.

Kia Aust did fit it with different tyres to that of which the global media went Gaga over.

This Mustang is medicine. It’s a tonic, an anti depressant, an animal that taunts you to go further.

Two of our guests even went as far as saying their wives and or partners would feel right at home in the passenger side in this car where as that’s not automatically achieved with their current transports for Sunday’s.

I am not ignoring the issue of the rear seat.
I am not ignoring we don’t get a GT350 or performance packs.

What I am saying is in our collective misery there is this.

This is a car that will turn a married man selfish. It’s not your choice of transport that needs to be compromised. It’s hers.

This is a my car and I would need to find another solution for family transport.

Every time you take this car out you will be late to your destination. You will not want to put it away. You will find excuses, it will be “damn, I meant to get that from the shop”, “back in 5 honey”

“Did is say 5 minutes, I meant 5 hours”

Yep, and to be fair to the Mustang history that’s what it’s always been in the US; the economically priced fun performance second car.

Economically we’ve notrnally tried to have more multi purpose vehicles.

The majority of families do have 2 cars. Previously the weekend car could double as the family transport.

That can’t occur with mustang. In a two car family where I get to choose my car and wife gets to choose her car, it’s honey you need to be more responsible with your choice now, because I am sure as hell not going to be.

    Love you.

We need milk, see you in 5.

Besides I think I won't end up buying one especially whilst I have 2 Ozzie Fords.
I have considered when moving on the lux but talking with the wife the other day regards this (funnily your mention of wives re mustang) she thinks another dual cab 4x4 is the GO lol........

How on earth could I be turning you off the mustang?

Now I hesitate to bring this up, but over the years since Miami was introduced, you invented new ways to say no. All you did was rob yourself of the experience that is Miami.

You wouldn’t listen then, if you don’t listen now, you just prove my point.

On the nationals, I will be honest, I didn’t like the thought of you moving the TS on.

I would be sad over that.

    Correction, would have.

Now if you announced you intended to trade the TS on one of these, the reaction would be the opposite.

It would be brother congrats, it’s the right call.

The driving experience over what we have had is next level, other than sprint. Even then, I think having both car, in time you will gravitate towards the stang more and more.

A few things happened on the Sunday.

The person who activated this chance attended Bathurst. He reached out and set up a meeting. We ended up out on track in the raptor during the drivers parade.

Andrew is my witness here. We spoke about a lot of things.

Over the last few months I have been running my mouth about the lack of performance offered by Ford.

It’s was put to me, “you don’t consider the GT to be performance?”

I answered as you would expect.

    On the Sunday morning.

“Ya know when I said the GT wasn’t a performance car in my mind?, yeah well I will walk that sucker back”

I have another guy actually offering to write to ford over his experience in this car.

“Ian, if I write out a response will you pass it on”

In Fords own words, this car is a massive step up and through their eyes, this car not the previous model is the first real global effort.

This is a car that has caused GT 350 owners in the states to question their purchase.

    Now I understand why.
History is a statement, the future is a question.
