Had a good look last night. Looks like the original motor was well set up originally and a great base. This looks like the intercooler just brings the package to where it should have been and a natural progression. Makes you wonder why the aftermarket companies are pushing for fuel pump and injector changes with their intercooler packages.

I'd say a combination of generating income, and OEM calibration competence V aftermarket?

Shows how much headroom there is with Miami.

That motor was in its infancy with development.

It's my understanding that the lower manifold is a whole new casting and you get to keep your original in a box.

    Yep correct.

But I think if you sat them side by side you’d see the new one was a development evolution of the existing one by adding on the tubing to the casting.

Am I right in understanding that this was the kit that FPV always had in mind? I had heard that there was an intercooler part number given at one stage in the Ford system. Was this it?

One of the Sprint mules had an intercooler.

The motor was always designed to have an intercooler at some point during its evolution.

If you look at the std inlet manifold there's blanked bosses at the rear for the piping, im assuming this is where the tubes have been added and cast into the HG manifold.

Bernie has bought to market what was going to happen.
