Just putting it out there a thought.
I just don't know if I'm angry or not.
Dane is no dummy as we know and he's playing any card he throw at the subject.
We did, our teams more so did after Adelaide last year upon being trounced.
It went on for a while and we got respite and Scott gets back on the Falcon and up their clackers again.
Come the Bend we again got pole axed.
Then we recovered once more.
Overall this parity Series has been jumping from one thing to another for years - they have always been exposed of the holes.
Composite panels for one, why wasn't that looked into for those with steel panels originally.
Pit Lane speed entry device.
Etcetcetc.......
Other Series's seem to have everything covered and if not corrections are made to rulings for the following season.

That's not correct.
ZB was introduced last year, it had more composite panels in lieu of factory stampings, this was under the guise of availability.
Up until this date the cars were required to run steel roof and bonnet panels.
After Adelaide the Ford and Nissan teams applied to be allowed to use the same materials for their roof and bonnet panels.

Then approval was given:

It effectively raced 1 round with that anomaly.
This was in effect an equalization of the field, a crude form of CoG alignment.
It surprises me that proper CoG testing wasn't conducted prior to the season given Mustang was being introduced.
The fact it was apparently something that was easily done this week surprises me even more so.
Our sport is technically outdated in terms of parity testing methods and constantly reacting after the fact to problems everyone can see.
The roll down test is extremely flawed, wind tunnel testing or at the very least computer airflow simulation testing should be started now for next year.
We need to separate these 2 issues, 1) CoG and 2) Aero.
I've got no issue with CoG alignment, it wont make much difference anyway.
Aero is a completely different situation and mustang passed all testing required of it.
If you change the goal posts you need to give the teams time to react, that can only occur in the off season.

Even before ZB introduced carbon panels VF had introduced aluminium bonnet and bootlid while the FG/FGX was using steel as they had to match the material of the "donor" vehicle at the time.
Carbon just made the difference greater

Thank you Ford for the memories
I think those that are getting too cocky about the results need to temper their enthusiasm, every victory is one race closer to a loss....
