So the idiots at SC have decided to block the Adelaide organisers from including TCR as a support category at nexts years season opener.

I want to know how an organisation who relies so heavily on tax payer funds can have so much distain for its customer base.
History is a statement, the future is a question.

Bit like the APCC/Bathurst 12hr, until they can control it, derive income from it, its competition.

Adelaide still have the final say with regards to the event don't they? SC know that they are under fire this year and if TCR get it right then they have an issue. However, if you are smart then you would find a way to co-exist. But we know that SC are not smart so this outcome is inevitable.

Yes, we (Adelaide 500 i.e. South Australian Tourism Commission) have the final say on support categories based on how the event was originally agreed with the former State Government. At this stage Supercars is objecting to TCR’s inclusion on the basis that is a breach of contract, claiming that its agreement with the SA government-backed event has a non-competing category clause. The problem is Adelaide 500 may have already done a deal with ARG for the opening round of the 2020 TCR Australia Series to join the support race program of the Supercars in February. At this stage, the official line is "they’re (TCR) one of the groups we’re talking to” which suggests the deal is not set in stone as yet. Supercars have just “raised an objection” at this stage. AA are doing their best to add fuel to the fire as usual.

    Typical of SC.
They objected to TCM in fear of its growth.
6hr 12hr objections in turn bought one of them to gain control and more so its SC drivers, originally tried to stop SC drivers in these events.
Nothing new saying SC is a rotten organisation.
Killing our game and anything around it if they can.

We all see Australian Motorsport as something to be supported and embraced collectively, but there are commercial relatities to consider and they (SC) obviously feel TCR are a threat somehow.

Embracing TCR on the same card kind of negates any potential competition between them too.

If TCR has the potential to be so popular equally it has the potential to increase the gate at the 500.

The other concern might be the FTA arrangement TCR enjoys which would "show up" the PayTV only SC's, although te 500 itself is one of the few FTA races too....

I watched TCR last weekend, honestly i dont think SC have much to worry about, putting them head to head could also reinforce why SC's is better racing.
