First, I love the sound of 'Stangmode's car.
Second, he takes a long time to get to the point!
Third, his speculation on costs inhibiting Ford's original plan to use the CobraJets 4Lt Whipple sounds plausible

Will Ford respond to the C8? I'm not as confident as he is that they will. Not in the short to medium term anyway. I hope he's right and they make an RHD version! Funny enough, the GT500 could have 1000 hp but I doubt and suspect none of those extra ponies will take the shine off the C8 any time soon. I think people are responding to the package, price and what this represents.

Ford engineers claim the GT500 makes 800-850 hp at the engine. The quoted figures of 760 is at the rear wheels. To put that into context the Dodge Hellcat put down 670 horsepower at the wheels, and the Demon about 704 whp.

Kind of puts to bed once and for all the long held theory driveline loss is a % not a fixed number

I actually think the Stangmode guy is reading into what the Ford guy is saying to help justify his purchase. That all being said, Ford is conservative with their ratings and I would expect the 760 to represent the lowest possible numbers that package will produce. In more optimal conditions it's possibly producing much closer HP to the 800 mark. I'm not sure why everyone is focusing on the peak HP rating anyway. Torque output and delivery are where the magic happens.

I watched the same video this morning. He is getting confused with what Ford say they lose powering the supercharger which they say is 90hp. Drivetrain loss is on top of that.

Here is another video where Ford state 0-160-0 in 10.6 seconds

History is a statement, the future is a question.

0-100-0 in 10.6 secs is impressive.
As a comparison, the Bugatti Veronica
    0-100mph-0 takes 9.9secs
