God, I love supercharged mustangs, but not for such price.

I have to be honest, I would never buy anything Tickford in WA, purely because of their ‘agent’ here.

The extra grip would possibly make it feel faction faster, not that the factory items are really lacking in this area.
I think some caution needs to be used here.

There were no issues till the car went on a drag strip. In fact until that time, on the road the impression was glowing of the engines performance.

That's right, it's not until you expose the setup to motorsport that the shortcomings become evident.

This is not the first time aftermarket Mustangs have failed during motorsport activity by the journalists....

This is right. The issue I see here is that supposedly this happened on the very first run. Something is not right here and my gut tells me this hasn’t occurred in US testing.

I plan in talking to Tickford about this review and to attempt to understand what’s happened.

If this was after the 5th pass or similar to what a factory Miami does, it would be a far lesser issue. That’s not what’s happened here.

This article from our good friend may provide a piece to the puzzle too:

    Also:

Heathcote is 238m Above sea level.

Winton is 188m Above sea level.

Calder about 125m Above sea level.

That is why I mention it. I think a prospective buyer can except that the modified Tickford is not purpose developed for track-like conditions, however, one pass would tend to indicate there is almost zero tolerance for it. That's not a quality you want to have any any performance oriented car, stock, modified or whatever. The stock car actually gives you more scope.

Stock Manual went into limp mode after a few laps of the Bend Motorsport park too at PCOTY.

This car is now probably a good bench mark to use against the GTRspec.

When a publication can come out and say it’s good enough to have worn the FPV badge, save the limp issue obviously and we now know that’s not Tickfords fault as such, the success and value of the Rspec will be placed in perspective.

Next to each other, I'd take the Tickford one over the RSpec.
Looking at that black one/wheels/stance no brainer for me.
