There is some merit to this thinking in some situations. This isn't one of them.

You have to understand that teams drivers lost 12 months of their time in this sport through basic mismanagement.

Teams have to answer to sponsors, to explain performance to justify and on going investment. Those on my FB page may have seen a post by one of the sports driver managers who described the fallout from the fiasco in NZ from a sponsor obligation stand point.

If you live in isolation and don't think or appreciate the full scope of what's involved it is easy to support a proposition of slowly slowly.

A big part of this is Ford. A huge part of what's gone on has been a departure from parity down and a shift to parity up.
Mark skaife talks briefly about this on one of his many excelled contributions to this season's mess.

Politics dictated what went on which is equal parts regrettable and understandable.
History is a statement, the future is a question.

Perko, from what I'm hearing Adrian is in trouble now. You can't screw up this many times and cosy people this amount of money and not have questions asked.

This year there was some leniency in pit lane due to the inheritance nature of issues.

If this continues, he won't survive.

Seamer has hinted the sport can't take another year of what went on again.

Some high ups are now wanting answers and with a question now hanging over Holden moving forward the penalties could be the harshest we have ever seen.
History is a statement, the future is a question.

    9.

There was 9 different spec changes to get to a point of parity. And by parity I mean 888 could dominate. As 4 of the last 5 races, post NZ.
The problem with society today, is that nobody drinks from the skulls of their enemies anymore.

I'll give supercars the benefit of the doubt. I'd rather they get it right now than the debarcle of this year's season. If that happens again then sack the lot of them.

Least they tried. Just wonder if the same would have happened in previous years.

They tried because of one reason....

And if the FGX was in the same position previously that same pressure would have existed.

I 100% agree with this. My point however is IF the sport was being run professionally wouldn't you have done a thorough review of the events around so many parity adjustments and where the weaknesses of measurements are. Then formulate a plan to get it right? What we see is getting cars to drive around an airport with so many factors outside the control of the car, then say everyone is happy. A week later no we are not happy and want to do it again. How is this moving the sport forward and creating confident in the "technical" team.

The problem is that they are not getting it right now. It sets up changes within the first few races if certain teams do not get the results they want. Each screw up is a further nail in the sport. They will be lucky to get to 2022 with the next generation.

This sport has never been run professionally. It's just been highlighted how unprofessional it is.
DJR has shown this throughout the year from technical parity to the actual rules.
I'm hoping that supercars has had a proper wake up call.

The recent parity testing (and subsequent need to retest) would suggest that's not likely.....
