I believe Holden are going to pull out at the end of this season....

All jokes aside this is bad for us and Supercars.

That said Tickford and DJR survived a long time without Ford money and largely still do.

teams need to stop relying on Manufacturer money and become self sufficient.

GT4 is a perfect category to transition into for Gen3...

He still can, like all other ZB entrants.

    Just without Holdens money...

like all the other ZB runners.

Actually none of the Mustang runners get money from Ford either.

I feel with those 600 who are going to lose their jobs, I don't feel sport for GM one little bit. How many taxpayers dollars did they milk? I wonder how many of those people calling foul on the government for not supporting holden, actually have a Holden in their driveway?. Sorry people stopped buying, that's why they are gone

As for Supercars, the management of Supercars are already doing their best to destroy the category, so this may be the nail in the coffin

Sc has a future but lacks the right leadership.
Should be Ford, chev, Toyota, bmw, merc, vw. but more likely Ford n chev
Put it back on fta, give it back to the people n the people will support it. Out of sight out of mind n all motorsport is in the same boat here. If u ignore your fanbase/customers then death is what it deserves.
Cricket odi in same boat with less people seeing it here it means less revenue because no one is at the games. This what happens when u sell out to foxtel.

I don't see any future for GM/Chevrolet in Supercars.

GM are exiting all RHD markets and cancelling all RHD platforms.

There's zero incentive to promote products in RHD markets.

I don't either. At the end of the day, the volume seller for GMSV will be the Dodge Ram, and maybe a couple of hundred Camaros a year. Not exactly volume sellers like Mustang has been in the past.

GMSV's biggest problem is, they want to convert American two door coupes. These are a discretionary purchase, and these generally only sell well when the economy is ticking along well. If Corona continues to halt trade between China and the world, nobody will escape the financial ramifications of a global slowdown, and the first thing that stops selling is expensive, impractical cars.

I think motorsport in Australia is dead.

Edit: Holden are the first, but won't be the last brand to disappear this year. I reckon Honda are in trouble.

After how they handled Ford's return to the category and what did to the Mustangs all year I am calling karma on this one.
