While I don't doubt that, it's an easier position to maintain when evolution is not a consideration or threat.
Imagine if they were told for FPV to live on they needed to adapt the brand and its models, drawing upon global opportunities and bring their consumers along for the ride?
I highly doubt a bespoke engine program would be in the mix. If we were lucky we may have gotten access to the Coyote V8 or GT 500 drivetrain.
My money would have been on a reduction in model complexity (no more F6), just a GT Model and variants powered by a 10 speed 3.5 TT to take on the likes of the Kia Stinger GT.
