The differential cooler is a biggy. It's a large part of what makes the Mach 1 distinctive as a much more track-focused Mustang than the GT. The lack of adaptive cruise control, rear parking sensors is more of an annoyance.

Its sad the company is shooting itself on the foot, both in fact.
Premium product how sad it is, finally a factory product let down more and more.
I just read a customer in Qld took delivery last week, drove 250k's and saw a pool of diff oil once parked at home.
    Sorry for the bloke.
Yes the diff cooler is massive loss, I expect kypez will pull out.
Colville for a 2021 car not having ACC, rear park sensors would be more than annoying me for the money paid.

Yep, thats bloody pathetic - the only way I would forgive Ford was if it was a case of some stupid ADR meant that for whatever reason they werent allowed to run that cooler.

Otherwise they are just taking the piss - its almost like they are seeing how much they can pull out of the car, and still get stupid aussies to stump up the $$$$

I’d like to see them fit the missing items at a Dealership level without penalty

It's a really shit situation, Marketing over looked the specification details and misprinted the brochure.

Then didn't discover the error until customers found it.

There are 3 types of people affected in this:

    1) People who have taken delivery of their car without being notified of the change.

These people have a strong position to seek compensation or return the car for a refund. It probably involves 50 or so people of the 700.

    2) People with a deposit but yet to take delivery.

These people only have 2 options; walk away from the contract and recover their deposit, or take the car, sign the acceptance form and live with the offer.

    3) The last group are people who want to take delivery THEN take on Ford with a class action.

    These people are delusional.

There is no way the Dealer/Ford will allow anyone to take delivery of a Mach 1 now without you accepting the new specification in writing and wavering any recourse.

Yeah, I don’t see a valid claim here unless you have already paid in full and taken delivery of your car.

I don’t think the offer of a driver experience day and free service hasn’t been thought through either. They appear to have underestimated the value of the omissions. Not so much in their value as components but in the optics of it all in the eyes of the consumer.

Some of the omissions are a huge part of of what makes the Mach1 distinctive. These omissions are in addition to the track pack upgrade we also don’t yet here.

I guess in the end it will come down to how badly you want a Australian delivered Mach 1.

Apparently the offer has been upped to 3 free services now!!!

also agree, while there might be a lot of disgruntled people, i've got no doubt the dealers will still be able to move all 700 units quickly.

If I had ordered one I wouldn't be happy, but I wouldn't be canceling either. That's only because of it being a LE Mach 1.
If I just wanted another new Mustang the GT more than suits my needs. In many respects more so than the Mach 1 as I would use it as my daily.
