Walkinshaw andretti United switch to Ford, racing the mustang next yr.
Holy shit, the last news I ever expected. Has to be money in this deal for walkingforsure. Or do we have andretti to thank for it.should we be thankful? Or happy. Not caring to much about a sport I once loved passionately not sure I should give a shit. (Sorry about the language, but I'm plumb surprised)

It's a business, plain and simple. Holden is no longer a brand and hasn't been for a while so I laugh at the Holden fans going off. GM, well how involved have they been in the marketplace? Walkinshaw I think would be looking at avenues to continue to enhance cars, They can do this easily with the Mustang and I reckon they will do the same with Ranger. The "regulare" Holden buyer is no longer there. So why not access the Ford buyers? Makes sense. Still wouldn't buy one but makes sense.

I'm all for it personally. I quite like Ryan W and respect his views on most things. It's good to see the likes of Michael Andretti onboard with his historical links to Ford and his success in motorsport. I just hope it all converts into better results which it should with the likes of Chaz back in the blue corner. That was a talent loss at the time that we (Ford) could ill afford.
The jury is out on Nick Percat but hopefully, he will do well, too.

I would have liked to see Matt Stone make the shift too, but Ford has stated their support budget is spent.

yes sign of the times.
In our country we've hardly seen badge swapping like what occurs in the USA for eg.....
We had the Brock crystal Holden break up debacle, then went to Bimmers etc, we had Moff race RX7's - these are 2 main ones to me and recent times T8 Ford to Holden.

Now its just not the same anymore, it is just business, the throw away society, Australian made out the window it just goes on and on.

I agree who could have ever predicted this move mind you 10yrs ago, imagine mentioning it 20yrs ago lol......
Glad for the Mustang grid count - lol Chaz back in the fold.
I really don't care as much anymore, if it wasn't for my business interests I'd hardly attend an event but check updates and watch now and then on my Fox if I wasn't out.
