Gday,

I'm going to get Autotechs Stage 1 tune done in the next couple of months. Just wondering if I should get a high flow cat as well?

Would it get me near 300kw?

If you are already spending 1.5k for the tune, do everything you can now in terms of bolt-ons because if you decide you want to add them later you will be up for a $700+ retune. Also, Spiro's tunes don't generally see massive peaks (from what I've seen) but they are very quick on the road/strip where it counts. So I wouldn't be too concerned about the peak power it produces on Spiro's particular dyno, the strip is where it's at

Spiro knows what he is doing. Get the cats now if you are thinking if them. If you out them on later without a tune you risk over boost.

ok thks guys. Who do you recommend to get the high flow cat from? and what size should I get 4inch? would I need a set of injectors? going to get these things before I go in for the tune.

You will also need a fuel pump and possibly better plugs.

Righto so the list is high flow cat, fuel pump, I have NGK Laser Iridium spark plugs in already and will I need injectors?

If I remember right injectors are high on the list for any power increases as standard the F6 engine is close to the limit of its injectors.

Looking at your OP, to get 300rwkw you will be well advised to do the injectors.

Thks for the advice. Yeah I'm dreading how much its going to be. Any idea of a ball park figure?

From what I know, not as scary as you would think, probably get change out of 5k which is pretty good bang for the buck. Others here may be able to give better indication of figures. As far as I know you will not have to upgrade the intercooler at that power level but you would be on the limit off it to so if you want more later, the intercooler will have to be done.

A good chat with Spiro will be a good idea, he will look after you very well.

Ah well I wasnt going to spend 5k.. maybe 2.5 to 3k. I'm assuming Id get a good figure from a tune, injectors and high flow cat?
