    WAU to offer enhanced Rangers

Seemingly a reversal has occurred at Walkingshaw with just 25 WAU Rangers to be built. When joining the Ford ranks for aupercars, Ryan did say there would be no road cars coming from the partnership. Perhaps to offer solice to the HSV faithful over set in concrete.

The end product is more Premcar Warrior than HSV and with just 25 it's sort of hard to see where the thinking might be.

For me it probably points more to what could have been with the shit show called F truck but that's another thing all togethwr
History is a statement, the future is a question.

Recently, WAU announced its vehicle performance business unit that would include building and modifying road cars. I suspect the very limited-run Ranger is the result of this. Also, its probably an exercise to test the waters to gauge market interest.

I interpreted what Ryan said initially was that there was no plans to develop a complete HSV type road going Ford product.

What's wrong with the F truck? What's a few recalls between friends ;-) (Discloser, Id love an F-truck)

I am not a fan of the look, but excited that they are putting their toes in the water. If this is the start then maybe something in the future might be feasible.

Ian, please don't mention the F-truck. It triggers me. Still can't understand how they could make this sort of decision for a supplier when we have WAU AND Premcar here. More so, simple recalls reinforcing my concerns. There is no way I would buy one. Yes I would love one, but not under the current circumstances.

Geez, sorry. I've clearly been living under a rock!

What a mess and a way to erode consumer confidence. I wonder if RMA Automotive was the lowest bidder....
On the surface, it does seem like a missed opportunity for the F trucks to be remanufactured by Walkinshaw.

I’d find it hard to believe tender was cheapest.
They are considered one of the world's leading suppliers of modified vehicles, with over 30 years of engineering experience in the area.
What a shit show and am I surprised it’s Ford in this circumstance ? Nope.
Premcar due to their history should have been the go to first and foremost.

Probably the bigger problem is having stupid fucking ADR rules when we dont build cars here! AEB has to default to ON everytime - why cant it just start on whatever it was when last used?? Really - those lower DRL are too far from the upper DRL's??

too true randel, if we in our own little business's didn't look to change our policies to suit whats going on to market we'd be crucified losing business to competitors who are on the ball.
This applies to the ADR's as mentioned, all and good whilst we had auto manufacturing to protect but we're 6/7yrs down the track.......

In saying that how hard is it to make sure ADR compliance is met for the F150.
Its not like RMA is pioneering - little ol MM has been converting Mustangs for as long as I can remember.
Walkie the the camaros, silverados, Premcar been doing the Nissan amongst others.
Stuffing up on a 150 odd k purchase I'd be livid as a customer.

    as for the Walkie Ranger.
MEH, pretty much another decal pack barring the individually tuned bilsteins, nothing special you can save heaps sourcing it all yourself.
I'm also pretty bored with the box design of the Ranger, I think PX111 looked more appealing to the eye.

I have to admit I’m not sure about the stickers but the rest of the WUA kit looks good. I wonder if it will get any performance calibration changes? Also, what model Ranger will it be based on. Looks like a Wildtrax or Sport.

In a sea of so many Rangers it’s nice to see something different.

You know who has the best looking Ranger.
    Platinum owners.
Look classy for a truck amongst the motza of the Traks and Raptors.
