    Au falcon ute repairable?

    Falcon au ute repairable?
    Hi all,
My mate crashed my au falcon ute yesterday. Front bonnet reinforcement bent inwards, but so is a bar further down.
Is this bar part of the chassis, and does it look repairable to you? How can I repair it without taking it to a shop? I know it will be unsafe but will most likely become a bush vehicle anyway.

    Cheers

Hard to tell from the pic but the bad news is yes it is structural and a repair will be a bit pricey. To repair the radiator support panel is not a job to do at home on a car that is to be kept registered and used on the road. As it was your mate that crashed it then it should be him paying for it.

If it is just a bush basher then it is not such an issue, is the radiator ok? In the case of the bush basher you could pull the front bumper off, remove the radiator and see if you can massage it back into shape. Just keep in mind if you do that the car will never be able to be registered again.

That's what I thought, I can get radiator, both fender, bonnet for $300, bumper for $50, then the radiator support for $200, and I have seen a replacement front reinforcement bar for $130. Is this reinforcement bar the same as what is bent on the bottom?
    Cheers for ur help

Get it fixed up, take it into a paddock and have a ripper of a time hooning about in it.
Not worth trying to fix yourself and trying to get it registered again, can't see that happening, my $0.02
