No falcon badges on FG MK2???

Just been searching Facebook for ideas for our forum and came across a blog that suggests Ford have removed the Falcon brand plate from Falcon. Anyone know anything about this?

Correct. There are a few kicking around now, with either XT, or just XR6 on them. It was to make way for the Holden-esque badging for ECOLPi, or EcoBoost, when it comes on stream later in the year.

I doubt that. It is still called Falcon, like a Holden SV6 is still a Commodore, however it doesn't have a badge on its arse either.

The Territory TX doesn't have a badge any more, and nobody (except LightningStrikeTerritoryGhia or whatever he's called now) complained about that.

Having read this, my dads V-series Calais came without badges!

So what did he do about it?

He took it back and got them to put the V series and SIDI and CALAIS on the boot lid DOH !!

It came with an HSV plaque in the engine bay though because of the rear boot spoiler ???

Probably 'HSVi' Daz? HSV Individualized from memory. Its what 'Holden By Design' became in the VE. Think thats been dropped for a couple of years now.

Well there is a Facebook page devoted to telling Ford it's wrong with as Andrew Tassie version mentioned the beginning of the end. Cost cutting if any thing surely

Ford haven't been using Falcon badges for a while now, the later build FG1 XRs have had the badges moved to the other side of the boot where "Falcon" used to reside.
