I think - in that case your right, the only time I saw green was when new just fitted, with the lack of use its always black grrrrrrrrr.

Yep, mine were green when fitted, but were always in the black with the trickle chargers operational?

Green is good. Black is bad (in the EF, anyway). I can't see the battery in the BMW - it's in the boot floor, under the spare wheel, and the BF has an open cell Exide battery in it.
