    Australian Oil Refineries to close?

Im hearing our local Oil Refineries are poised to close over the next 5 years... another victim of the Carbon tax and high Dollar?

VERY dangerous for us if they do.

Caltex certainly are looking at restructuring. Julian Segal, CEO, is currently getting this done. I worked under him when he worked for Incitec Pivot Ltd. Very smart man who can get companies moving in the right direction for long term gain. This may mean some get closed but if it means long term viability for other refineries (and so Aussie jobs) and the company then this is a good thing. I have been watching his progress closely since his move to Caltex. The problem with the media is that they only report what sells them papers. The truth is over-rated.
