A low k 50thou odd k's manual T3 sold recently - obviously in very good shape - $32k, obviously didn't need to go on ebay, carsales.
    Another went prior similar money.
It varies obviously - those lowballers need some tlc and $$$ thrown at them but as said alot of car for the money.

My insurance renewal came in the other week - agreed value near on $35k - I like !
Its easy to mount up a sizable bill fixing up "minor" issues on cars, a 15K purchase could easily end up owing you 25k once you attend to niggles and issues to get it reliable and "spot on".

Sometimes the cheapest car is not the bargain it appears to be.

With cars like this that have a limited but passionate following to get 20+K it will need to be pristine, AND have someone looking for the EXACT car you're selling AND there be nothing else forsale of the same spec for cheaper.

They ALL do the same thing, insurance companies are like couriers, when you find a good one that seems too good to be true its usually because they're enticing people with a "honeymoon" period which gets new business, but gradually they either revert to mainstream pricing and service or struggle and get bought out by a mainstream company that addresses their practices to fall in line with their parent business.

Exactly right Norm, I gave Shannon's the flick years ago, then along came Lumley's, they were good for a couple of years, then they tried the old "premium up, agreed value down" trick with me.
After I told them I had found my agreed value price with another company, only then did they offer to match agreed value rates.
Sorry LSV's I am too old to put up with that crap!!!
Banks like Insurance companies, are not worth any form of loyalty, after insisting on double lock up garaging, alarm activated at all times, zero blood alcohol content in the event of an accident, maximum kilometre restrictions per year, they then tell you your car has dropped in value & try to put your premium up?

Oh yer its roundabouts with Insurance the last 10yrs - path of the course you just got to make the move and grab each honeymoon period for loyal and sticking by a company as many of us did in the good days is over.

Thats it Norm when wishing to sell a low selling pride and joy - hope and good timing is all you can wish for or let them go at a very low base depending on your circumstance.
