Have you got a J3 to tune the ECU or have you got an aftermarket ECU?

I like the E series GTs.
It is a plug in, something that can be removed when the car is converted back to standard EL GT configuration.
Don't knock the little 5.0 litre, if you think about what you want your car to do & at what rev range, you want it to happen at, the results can be surprising.
The guys at Tickford worked it out with the T3 Stroker engines, if I can get the drive train to live behind a stroker, that's my next plan for an EL GT.
I have seen some very cheap EL GT's lately. .

Thats an easy fix, talk to Jeff about the Astro A5 kit they have for the T5, toughens them up to 575lb-ft..!!

The Hydratrack is the worry, the standard Clubsport item failed under the EL GT testing.
The Hydratrack was tailored to suit the EL GT torque specs.
I really don't want to fit a 9" Detroit Locker to my car.
    Or do I ?

One of the things about the 5L Windsor is, for Australian use, they were all crate engines. This means that we just got whatever the US spec was at the time.

There were some obvious exceptions (like all the Tickford tickled V8's) but they were still conservatively tuned. Very easy to wake up and in relatively lightweight cars like the E series, can be made to go very well. Plus there is a metric shitton of aftermarket parts available ex-US.

Hearing stories the bum has fallen out of the "B" Series GT's as well, I am still finding high priced, high kilometre T Series cars are not selling as well.
