    Ask a dealer a question

As it says guys, if you want to know something that I can help with let me know. Or if you just have a general question I'm happy to help answer (some stuff I obviously can't due to confidentiality)

Not sure Andrew but I think he meant questions in relation to dealerships etc.

I have a question. In the past a lot has been said about dealer experiences and unfortunately it's usually the sour experiences that are most spoken about.

What are Pacific Ford's protocols that ensure customers are dealt with in a professional manner? From your personal experience what separates PF from other dealerships that you've worked at - if in fact you have worked at other dealerships or different management..

That's quite a question! I can only speak from my department and what I see. I've worked for PF for over 10 years, started when I was about 19. I've seen a lot of changes in our area too. These are things that work in my opinion.

    - treat people how you'd want to be treated, pretty simple.
    - if you don't have passion for the product, you won't last.
    - don't rush a job, get it right the first time

I've never worked in another dealership (or anywhere else since I left school!) As an employee's point of view its the people I work with. We have a lot of long term employee's. I guess that's something that says it all really? I'd say that's one of Pacific's big point of difference. A lot of well known staff members to local's.

I think the 8 has a different input shaft and first gear is slightly longer in the V8 box, no idea about if the USA T5 is the same as ours.

A company makes a complete internal rebuild kit for the T5, they're called Astro I think, and it makes it handle up to 500hp, last time I checked parts alone are $2700 for the kit not including shipping.

I'm not sure why everyone quotes HP figures for drivetrain components, wouldn't it be torque which breaks everything?
