Ford have "hand-me-downed" rims (along with a lot of stuff) for as long a i can remember, it would be a break in tradition to do anything differently now.

In the more recent years they have been pretty straight in changing them from model to model. Just seems silly to me to change them on the line with no update then not offer new rims on the new car.

Oh well, GT wheels are okay, ill take mine matt black thanks as per the pic!

I like them, best GT rim they've done since BF2 GTP.

Also means people can buy 9" rears to match, or... confirmation the XR8 will get 9" rears too as its far cheaper to use existing staggered wheels than tool up for a new 8/9" set for just a short run.

Well I am going to go the other way and suggest there probably is new rims coming. They aren't something you really need to test so they are the last to be revealed.

The reason I say this is the XR8 used in the promo clearly has a new rim on it. That doesn't mean its brembo friendly though but we think perhaps the brakes are standard so with this in mind I wouldn't read anything into seeing mules with carry over rims

OK 1st 3 pics of the dark mule my findings are :
1st pic wiper blade looks very thick, 2nd pic doesn't look thick !
Of the 3 dark mule pics you spot easily the turrent aeriel but the previous 2 can't even spot it from front on.
