Just bought an au wagon and need to adjust head light aim, but there's only 1 aiming dial on head light assembly, does that control up/down, or left/right?

It controls up/down. The one for left/right is quite hard to find if you don't know where to look and generally it doesn't need adjusting. However if you absolutely know for certain that they aren't aimed straight then I'll take a pic for you to show you where the adjuster is and how you get at it.

If you could take a pic that would be great
I think I found it, is it a little round cog with a hex key fitting above it?
Yes that's it - but it will also work with a philips head (unless someone has already rounded it out) which can be a bit tight - a good spray with WD40 5 mins before you try to turn it and it should be fine.

The reason I wanted to know where the left/right adjustment was, because I replaced the LH headlight assembly with a newy and it needed to be aimed down and in.
