    Dont bet on it...

The fact it was so bad will trigger retaliation.

I expect we'll see rioting and problems....

Supporters openly wept in the stands, while others sat with their heads in their hands.

There were also images of irate fans burning a Brazilian flag.

By contrast Germany's band of fans were in sheer ecstasy.

Game was a bit un inspiring today
and the Dutch again tried to win in a penalty Shootout, but Argantina got thru

The Germany argantiina final should be a beauty, looking forward to that one

Norm - I'm sure some fallout will occur from the Zumba Kings humiliation - if we hear of it is another matter.
So getting back onto speed here having been away - no shock result from me, brasil are/have been over rated, the Brasil of the past went long ago, not since 2002 had they played the beautiful game they were known for.
This was a coming - I'm loving it tbh, they haven't experienced 2 home defeats since the 1940's !
Their current backline sucks ! their midfield is ordinary and they have NO dedicated No9 like the Ronaldo of the past and before him.
Germany were allowed to play and walk through them, good luck to them, if the doors are left open you walk right through them in this game.

I expected the Argies to handle Slows dutchies and that they did, obviously not convincing as the german game but they are strong enough to take ont he germans I feel.
I'm backing them purely on the base's I can't stand the arrogance of the germans and I do admire argentina's current great Messi, he's a humble champion player.
bring it on I'll be up at 4.45am for KOFF !

It was a good hard open game tbh for a finale.
Argies did very well and tbh had their chances to win it but thats how the ball rolls.
Krauts got it finally - overall they deserved it as much as it hurts to say.

    Great WC overall !

The 2014 FIFA World Cup ended on Sunday as Germany toppled Argentina in Rio de Janeiro. We look back at the tournament in numbers.

35 - Goals scored in the knockout stages

10 - Red cards; fewer than any World Cup since 1986 with the record of 28 having been set in 2006

1 - Yellow cards shown for diving; the first one was handed out to Brazil midfielder Oscar in the third-place play-off

4 - Months Uruguay striker Luis Suarez was banned after biting Italy defender Giorgio Chiellini. He was also slapped with a nine-match ban from competitive international appearances

382 - Minutes that Argentina goalkeeper Sergio Romero went without conceding a goal in Brazil before Mario Gotze beat him in the final

24 - Fouls conceded by Brazil before they were shown their first yellow card in their 2-1 quarter-final win over Colombia

401 - Seconds between Germany's second and fifth goals versus Brazil in their 7-1 semi-final thrashing

I could not believe how many times that one German player could put on a fuss that he was injured in a 30 minute period and then get up and play on each time. The only injury that looked to be real was the cut under his eye. What a wimp?

Imagine if Rugby players acted like that.
