Use boot button on remote control paired with BF Falcon Ute for LED tray lights

Hi there,

I have acquired a remote for my 2006 BF Falcon ute from a sedan or territory so I have the extra button (rear bottom button).

I was wondering if there was a way to tap into the cable which would usually run the actuator to pop the boot and use it to turn on or off some LED lights in the tub?

The output for the boot would be off the BEM (there is a 12 pin fairly square connector that it comes off). There are two problems. 1 the BEM more then likely won't be programmed to send the signal out (this would have to checked with a light probe) the second problem is that the wiring won't be there.
