Ball joint issue for Territory ?.

I wanted to ask this question here and not somewhere else as I wanted some mature adult responses and not all the crap, so here goes.

I have not really been keeping up to date with the whole ball joint issue that plagued the Territory, I have heard whispers about it but I am not up to date with it.

Can someone tell me the issues that are a concern and if it effect’s newer model’s, like say the SZII.
I know the SZII is not released yet but underneath it is a carry over from the SZ so any issues the SZ had/have you would think might find it’s way in to the SZII (hopefully not).

My understanding is that there isn't. I thought they changed the design slightly on the SZ. Happy to be corrected. Once my wife's SX was done never had any troubles.

That's about right haven't heard anything bout ball joints since the early models of terry, I believe ford to action so this would no long be an issue, happy to dig further if u would like or someone else on here might know more

Ford did the big change to the ball joints a month or two before SZ was released.

AFAIK its any dramas are small numbers.

Anny issue would be genuine wear and tear. I wouldn't worry about the ball joint issue in the SZ series.

AFAIK the ball joint issue came about because of the way the front end of the old Territory was designed, which was changed for SYII to the way it should have been in the first place. I don't think about it at all, it's a non-issue IMO.

Like I said though I never really followed the issue much or delved into it apart from hearing some complaints on the other site and thought that now I’m getting serious about my purchase I was just doing my homework but glad to hear the truth.
