I'm fine, missus had minor whiplash induced neck pain which has since disappeared.

Just pissed off as the time and effort I put into it to improve it were for nought.

Yeah the driver of the other car was also fine, poor bugger got a bit of a fright though.

After hearing nothing from insurance, I got a call from the assessor saying it has re-assessed and will now be repaired.

Good to hear mate. Hope it gets returned just like new. I know I miss my XR8 and sometimes wish I had taken my insurance company up on the offer to do a full rebuild.

I hope so too Perko, otherwise it becomes someone else's problem (ie a dealer as a trade-in).

Do you get to choose the repairer? That is always a bit of piece of mind. My insurance allows for that to happen.

So much for repairing the car, I was advised yesterday the car is being written off. I picked it up an hour ago and dropped it off at the factory so I can strip it for the parts.

Money is going in as I write ($22k, less $3,000 as I am keeping the car).
