I seriously cant see them doing anything with FGX.

18 months left in build and parts starting to become accounted for does not see room or need for anything else.

If they did do something with XR6T even if it did not require emissions testing it would still require R & D (like XR8 did). They wont do that, trust me!

Would a tune to XR6T/G6ET need additional emission testing ? doubt it considering F6 has been and done that no ? same running gear meaning diff/box ? add a sticker pack there's your send off.

Personally id love to see them do something with XR6T but the cynic in me thinks they're keeping a special like this up their sleeve to exhaust ZF's should current demand not absorb them by end of production.

Yes, every change in tune needs retesting for emissions and durability.

    And a recalibration of DSC.

It wont happen. Its all smoke and mirrors bullshit, they are silly for even alluding to it. They should be more worried about selling whats on the floor now.

They would use the F6 DCS calibration which means it will need brembos
History is a statement, the future is a question.

F6 has a different turbo, so I'm assuming they would need to do more emissions testing if they do a better tune for the XR6T they couldn't just run with the F6 results I guess as different hardware.

Not if they only edit the tune which is what you guys are saying. They wouldnt even spend the money on calibrating brembos for us poor GS / Pursuit folks!

They wont use the F6 motor.

My opinion is they probably should have used it anyhow in the first place. Given the old girl a bit of extra spice. Would make the old SSV Redline look like a DAF at a truck pull.

This is why if they simply re-ordered the specific F6 parts and more-or-less made an F6 in FGX clothes, they wouldn't need to carry out extensive R&D and emissions testing because the combination is a known (and approved) quantity.
