    GT-E Seats

    Bit of background -

I have a mate over from Adelaide, staying here for a month on holidays.

His current daily driver is a VX Commodore on gas with about 350,000klm. He will be coming into a nice lump sum of money in the near future and looking at upgrading his car with a portion of it.

His wife has had quite a lot of surgery, suffice to say that she has a lot of trouble with ongoing leg pain, which may never get better.

They have been test driving new commodores, falcons and others - they have narrowed it down to the Chrysler 300, they like the look of them and she finds the seats don't give her pain in the legs due to the amount of adjustment in the seat to relieve pressure on the legs. They both are not keen on FG-X Front. He is disappointed that they have to buy a car, with the first priority being the passenger seat comfort, but wants to look after the wifey!

Anyhow, whilst he has been here, I have had to go to work on the odd days, so have given him the GT to use as a run around for the time he is here.

He can not believe the amount of power in it and is very keen on buying one instead of the Chrysler. He feels with the amount of adjustment in the drivers seat, she could lower the front of the seat base to relieve pressure on the legs. The biggest problem is the passenger seat has limited adjustment, and would not suit his wife.

Can someone tell me - does the GT-E passenger seat have electric adjustment in the seat base to allow it to lower the front part of the seat base, or is it only the drivers seat that has full adjustment??

What about FG-X XR8? Does passenger seat have full adjustment?? I reckon he may concede the looks of the front - he is in love with the supercharged goodness

I had a Mk1 GTE and while the drivers seat was full 8 way adjust with 3 position memory the passenger seat was just cowards and back manually.

The seats were very comfortable though and turned our regular 6 hour runs into a great place to be.

Check some of the other models such as G6ET and GT-P etc.
I think I remember my GT-P (BA1 though) had an electric pax seat.

No FG's had power passenger seats.
