I agree with both you and MisterAU. The rear of the AU IRS is the best we've seen in any car built in this country. I also think that considering how much quicker the 310 F6 3and 335 GT was around Winton compared to the VE Clubsport R8 and GTS it is still a good chassis.

Now it's a complete roll reversal and I somehow fail to believe that a company in FPV which is technically Tickford just restructured have gone backward's in this department.
They haven't. I own one of each a TS & GTE, Not an R Spec, although a good friend does own one and ive been out in it.

The TS is the better handing of the two. It is way more planted but then its 1/2 the horsepower. But the GTE is no slouch in the handling department, it is also way more comfortable and composed. I prefer the FG's heavier steering. Ive never driven a HSV but ive done a couple of hundred thousand km in SSV's. Id have my FG any day.

The R Spec is brilliant and lands right in the middle, Firmer than the GTE nicer than the TS, and enough grip to work with the 335.

Galaxy, I share your annoyance at the press awarding comparo's to GM for a decade because they were more powerful, now FPV is is more powerful. suddenly the "all round" package is the go.

I agree with Norm as well.

Ideally FPV would have like to introduce these chassis changes with the Boss 5.0 but... people forget that money doesn't grow on trees.
DUH! Yeah ... sorry Norm LOL.

It was killing the HSV stable without R-Spec. Now with higher speeds through the corners with R-spec I'd say game over.....funny I still haven't seen and track comparisons.

I guess they can't make a HSV look like a joke.

Or it could just be HSV not allowing any track testing. They've done it before.

    I came across this today..

    http://motoring.ninemsn.com.au/cars/...-fpv-gt-r-spec

If you look up a certain C&V Performance tuned W427 on YouTube you'll find it's terminal speed is the same as this stock R-Spec. The time was quicker but the W's time includes roll-out.
