I'd go Landau simply due to the G6ET having much better presence with it's chrome touches and better suited rims. I don't think there'd be anything out there that would come close to it - even at 3 times the price.

Today I had a customer walk in asking about a drive belt to be used for his project - he's building a road bike around a sidi V6. I told him I didn't have what he was looking for and sent him to a place that sells stuff for hobbies and kids toys.

Demonstrates how far behind we are doesn't it...

You would have been far better off avoiding the topic and not looking stupid but you couldn't help yourself...

    Me too.

But they shouldn't use the name Landau as it clauses to much confusion for the average punter. They can't even pronounce it. Landow, Landoo, Landoh! May as well bring back the Markeee or was it Mark wiss??

Ford should stop trying to tell people what they want and when, and offer this "Sprint" package on XR sedan, XR Ute and G6E. Use the FGX XR8 wheels in silver or white or something that quickly differentiates them on X6's And on the staggered GTE rims on the G6E.

I'll take my G6E Sprint in Black with that funky Tan trim. ( I like weird interiors).

Is a last hurrah Territory Turbo Sprint to much to dream of? 310. AWD based F6X underpinnings. Black and Tan, of course. It would no doubt suck fuel like a jumbo jet. But fuel is cheap now and there is a waiting list for SRT8 Jeeps at $90k so there is demand for hi Po SUVs.

    Thumbs up

Put aside the name and focus on the concept.

    A G6E,
    310/6t
the best interior they can find in the parts bin.
    Brembos 6p front
    GTE wheels
maybe a skirt kit off a XR..?
Not sure of a XR boot spoiler, maybe the GTE lip spoiler would spread the demographic...?
Some classy colours,...not in yer face colours!
Tow bar std, ( he's probably already got a boat or club car)

The objective would not be perceived speeder ( got Xr8 for that)

    More a classy tourer ?
Something her indoors would let him buy?

No need for a "Sprint ?" what ever that really is ?

something a bit prestigious to say farewell...........?

same as before, but also some thing else easy to put together....

Get your XT, a few decals, xr6 rims, a xr6 dash cluster, good front seats, lower it 50mm , give that your "Sprint " name?
May be only in manuals ...,,!
Sell it just a wee bit less than the XR6 ?

What we are seeing here, is that with a bit of mix and match, we can creat some viable and exciting options that wouldn't pose any real problems getting thru.
Theres nothing needing certifying, nothing that poses any great hurdles, and undeniably a need for a "spirited " luxury 6cyl
sedan, and a budget performance option ?

    Who do we call...".............
