OEM headlight protectors versus Altrex light skins ?

What do people think about the Altrex light skins product compared the OEM plastic headlamp covers ?,

I am in need to buy one or the other and have used the light skins on my AU XR as I got sick of taking the plastic covers of to clean in behind them which would accumulate dirt and debris quite often, and as the headlights on the AU XR’s are glass, I wanted some protection, although I don't drive it much I have never had a drama in the 7+ yr’s of fitment of them.

They claim to have much better protection then OEM plastic covers ?, but what are peoples opinions ?.

I used the light skins on my old AU XR8. I didn't like the look of the headlight covers on them. And like you say, they attracted dirt in behind. The light skins were on the car for the 4yrs I had it and my brother has had the car since and they have not yellowed or degraded.

Well worth it considering the glass XR headlights are becoming harder to get and at around $250 a light they are expensive!

I had the skins on my TS ofr about 7 year, and they were starting to dull so I took them off to replace
but I haven't been able to find a skin long enough to do the AU headlights anymore (They are a very long headlight)

I would have them any time over the plastic covers

I contacted Altrex and asked them if they did a longer version of their light skinz as I to needed a larger version and they replied with the following part numbers and prices and sizes.
    part number H080 - 700mm x 200mm x 1.5mm ( 2 pieces) @ $64.99
    part number L015 - 450mm x 610mm x1.5mm ( single piece ) @ $59.99
    part number HSHEET - 900mmx 610mm x 1.5mm (single piece) @ $119.99

    freight @$11.
These sizes are not on their web site or any stockiest either that I have seen.
    If that is any help.
