08 Ford Ranger Hi-Rider Dual Cab

Time to say goodbye to the best ute I've had in a while.

2008 Ford Ranger Hi Rider (2WD but has 4WD suspension)
5 speed manual
140,000kms
Dual Cab

Has the following modifications/accessories, most of which were fitted by me.

Exedy Single Mass Heavy Duty Clutch - fitted approx 30,000kms ago. Much stronger than the factory DMF setup, also makes future clutch changes significantly cheaper - you're talking maybe $300 as opposed to $2k.
Xforce 3" turbo back exhaust with cat and rear muffler
Custom tuned by Crispmods - HUGE power increase, much better fuel economy and generally "wakes up" the car
Deleted EGR as part of the tuning process
PWR Intercooler kit (vehicle specific) fitted approx 4 weeks ago
Genuine Wildtrak 18" wheels x5 fitted with General Grabber AT2 rubber, done approximately 10,000kms
Pioneer AVH X3500 DAB AV unit including reverse camera, bluetooth handsfree, DVD player, USB, iPod and music streaming
Pioneer 6" 3 way speakers and active sub, front speakers are also amped
Darkest legal (and a little bit more) tint all round
Clip on tonneau cover
Ute liner in rear tub
Aeroflow diesel catch can setup
New DBA rotors and pads on front approximately 5,000kms ago
Leather steering wheel, console lid and gear knob as per XLT spec
Factory optional bullbar fitted including foglights
Korr lighting LED Light Bar

I think there's other stuff but I can't remember all of it!

Service history is excellent, oil changed every 5,000kms by myself, anything more technical such as brakes, clutch etc done by a mechanic friend of mine. Ute is in very good condition and the only reason for sale is due to an upgrade, not because I need to but I want to

Going to change the Hilux sometime soon and only checked Amarok's on carsales the other week, good buys compared to Ranger/Hilux pricing, talking SR5/Wildtrak.

16k in fact, had it on carsales for that. Sold locally.

I bought an Amarok Core Manual 4x4, it is the base model but has everything I want and I'll mod the rest anyway. Ranger was just too dear - didn't even look, BT50 was OK but nothing special, Hilux I didn't look at as I'm not keen on the look.

I like the interior of the amarok, near on looks the best tbh.
I agree, Ranger is over priced but so has Hilux been for years.
I've seen a few modded BT50's, really improves their look for they are at good deals at times like amarok.
Yer new Hilux isn't grabbing me.
Amarok pricing is very competitive good move, I hear pretty sound reports of them as well.

5 year warranty was enough to make me take the plunge. The only safeguard I'm going to add is a secondary fuel filter. I'm in Syd on the 12th if you wanna have a looksee?

5bloody yrs you see this is one of the huge hooks that Ford and GM never wish would happen.
They never want to offer or match this by the euros/korean/japs to date.
