This. Unless you need it running on cold mornings then a choke is kinda pointless imo.

Well no, its not a daily but it is very grumpy when stone cold to buggery and the idea of shitcanning the choke entirely does my head in. Must be all those years on bikes because I'm used to them and always had the view they are there for a reason.
Another issue I need to resolve: there's *just* not enough clutch throw. I am using an adjustable pushrod at the pedal end and it is at the limit of it's adjustment but the gears will still occasionally clash when engaging 1st or reverse. There doesn't appear to be air in the system. The whole setup is brand new apart from the gearbox. The clutch point seems very low, almost at the floor. I'm going to try an adjustable pushrod for the slave cylinder as it could be a bit too short to operate the fork fully - I should have more of a pedal than I do.
Hopefully not a bent fork :(.
Eventually I want to do something with the front end. I'm talking about the ride height:
It is too high for my liking. While I dont want it slammed like it was when I bought it, I dont like the overlander look. Ideally I'd like it the same as the back with the top of the tyre just level with the wheel arch or thereabouts. I'm thinking of a 10-15mm drop. I guess I will just have to bite the bullet and get different springs?
EDIT: fucking tinypic. Anyone know of an image host that actually works?
Sounds like you just need L's not SL's.
Check out Kings website, I'm sure they have 2 stages of lowered front coils, ask how low each coil drops.
Pedders have a large 35mm bore short stroke shock for the fronts FYI.
Sorry about the lack of photo, here it is to give an idea

Use tapatalk. It's seriously the easiest way I've found to put pics on a forum.
yer that looks so un proportional - gotta fix that up.
I like having the sill line straight/level.
Otherwise she's looking good - I keep desiring an old skool beast - one day.
